Not that @POTUS would understand, but I got an advanced child tax credit last year. A bit of money midyear, which I then had to pay back when I did my taxes. It's not like it was some grand altruistic gift from Biden himself.

We expected this, so we kept the money in savings. Had we not, we would have been hit with several thousand in taxes owed that we were not prepared to pay back. So this literally did nothing for us other than complicate our taxes. (TurboTax screwed this one, by the way.)
